Lash Lifts + Lash Extensions
Lash lifts are essentially a perm for your natural lashes that are semi-permanent! The results last approximately 6 weeks, and lash tints add a bit more color to darken the lashes. This service helps to open the eye and make it look more awake! You can apply mascara and other makeup as normal, and this service requires minimal aftercare. If it’s been a few weeks and your lashes seem less permed than you’d like, then it’s probably time for another appointment!
Lash extensions will also enhance your look, and this service entails one or multiple eyelash extensions being attached to a single natural eyelash across your lash line. It all depends on the lash map you’re trying to achieve! You must go in every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain your lash extensions and wash them twice a day with a lash cleanser.
Lash Lift Process
A lash lift appointment is usually less than an hour, which is great for girls who are always on the go! The lash lift happens when a silicone lifting rod is applied to the natural lashes, then a chemical compound is applied to “perm” the lashes. Depending if you opt for a tint, a pigment is then applied while the lashes are perming. If you’re someone who prefers low maintenance look and likes a very natural look, then lash lifts are a great option! Also, if you’re someone who often has allergies or rubs your eyes often, then lash lifts will last longer for you rather than extensions.
For best results, lash lifts without a tint should be repeated every 8 weeks or so! Consult with your artist to see what is right for you!
Lash Extension Process
Your lash artist will most likely consult with you on your desired look. The artist will get you situated and apply pads and tape to your eye area. From there, they will begin to cleanse the lash area and begin their lash application process of using lash adhesive and lash extensions. Depending on your selected lash map, the lash extension appointment can take anywhere between 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours. Once you’ve finished your lash appointment, your lashes will look fabulous for 2 to 3 weeks, where you’ll need to schedule your refill appointment.
During a fill, your lash artist remove over grown lashes and apply new lash extensions. This process can take anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours. You naturally shed about 1-5 lashes per day, so it’s important to book your fills regularly so you don’t end up having to book a full set!
